Harry and Meghan fire MORE attacks on royal family in explosive new trailer

Prince Harry today astonishingly accused the Palace of ‘lying to protect my brother’ and claimed he and Meghan were the victims of ‘institutional gaslighting’ in his most incendiary attacks on the Royal Family yet.

Appearing on a new trailer for their Netflix series, the Duke, 38, abandoned all pretence at restraint as he namechecked his brother and heir to the throne Prince William, 40.

‘They were happy to lie to protect my brother, they were never willing to tell the truth to protect us,’ he said.

It is unclear who Harry was referring to by ‘they’ and what he accused them of ‘lying’ about. He and Meghan have previously accused members of the royal household of leaking information to the Press in a bid to damage their reputation.

The picture was complicated further by a version of the trailer on Netflix’s website that replaced Harry’s reference to ‘they’ with ‘the British media’.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle released the latest trailer for their Netflix documentary today

In the 90-second clip, Harry is heard saying: ‘I wonder what would’ve happened to us had we not got out when we did.’

Meghan adds: ‘Our security was being pulled. Everyone in the world knew where we were.’

The duke also can be heard saying: ‘I said, ”We need to get out of here”.’

Images of a man with his face blurred, a plane flying, Harry filming a video on his phone and newspapers being made also appear on screen.

Meghan and Harry also address their relationship with the Prince and Princess of Wales and the rift that has opened since their move to the US.

The duchess tells the camera: ‘I wasn’t being thrown to the wolves, I was being fed to the wolves.’

While an image of Buckingham Palace is shown, Harry adds: ‘They were happy to lie to protect my brother [William]. They were never willing to tell the truth to protect us.’

Clips of Harry and Meghan’s wedding are also played alongside news footage and newspaper headlines about the pair.

Meghan says: ‘It gave us a chance to create that home we always wanted.’

Harry adds: ‘I’ve always felt as though this was a fight worth fighting for,’ as photographs and video footage of him and his family are shown.

The trailer also features Sussex cheerleader Christopher Bouzy, who says: ‘They were actively recruiting people to disseminate disinformation.’

Tyler Perry, the music producer who lent the couple his home when they first arrived in California, adds: ‘They just wanted to be free to love and be happy. I applauded that.’

Here are the key parts of today’s trailer –

Harry and Meghan share family photoshoot taken at Frogmore during Queen’s Jubilee weekend in new Netflix trailer – after leaving royal celebrations early

The Sussexes posed for photographs in their garden of their Frogmore Cottage home with their children as they spent time in Britain for the Queen’s Jubilee, today’s trailer revealed.

The couple shared two new photographs at their English base in the latest trailer for the second part of their Netflix series this morning.

The images appear to have been taken during Lilibet’s one and only visit to the UK, when the family spent a brief weekend in London for the Queen’s Jubilee in May.

At the time, the couple left the Platinum Jubilee celebrations early – missing the Pageant and the Queen on the balcony – but apparently found time for the family photoshoot, which they revealed today.

In one of the photographs, Meghan and Harry can be seen walking through their garden at Frogmore.

The Duke can be seen carrying his daughter Lilibet on his shoulders while the Duchess carries their son Archie in her arms.

Both children appear to be dressed formally for the occasion – with Lilibet wearing a dress, cardigan and a bow hairband.

Meanwhile Archie is dressed in a white shirt and jacket.

Meghan is dressed in a flowing dress, which features a stunning floral print across the hemline, and walking barefoot in the image.

In the second photograph, the couple can be seen relaxing in their kitchen together.

During their visit to mark Her Majesty’s 70 year reign, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were seen rarely – once was at the Trooping of the Colour and another time at St Paul’s Thanksgiving Service – and had no official role during the festivities.

During their visit to the UK, the couple also took a picture in the royal cottage's kitchen, with Meghan casually resting her feet on her husband's thigh as they talked

However it was understood at the time that Harry and Meghan hosted a ‘relaxed’ garden party on Saturday for little Lilibet, one, in the Windsor estate with birthday cake, balloons, party games and picnic snacks.

At the time, the couple shared a number of images from the weekend with royal fans, revealing Lilibet’s face for the first time.

While it is not known who took the photos of the family, the original Lilibet picture was taken by photographer and friend of the couple Misan Harriman.

He attended the small picnic with his wife, children and reportedly members of the Royal family.

Those who are said to have also been at Frogmore Cottage include Zara and Mike Tindall’s three children, Mia, eight, Lena, three, and Lucas, one, as well as Savannah, 11, and Isla, 10, daughters of Peter Phillips and Autumn Kelly.

Three-year-old Archie’s godfather, Charlie Van Straubenzee, and his brother Tom, godfather to Princess Charlotte, were also invited, it is understood.

Couple share even MORE unseen moments in new trailer – including backyard football with Doria and Lili’s first trip to the UK

The teaser also saw the Sussexes share another treasure trove of personal footage and pictures to promote the second half of their explosive Netflix docuseries, which will be released on Thursday.

This includes more glimpses into their family life at home in Montecito, California, from birthdays to trips by the beach and playing in their backyard.

The trailer also uncovered videos of Harry playing football with his mother-in-law Doria Ragland, and with his son Archie, three, on his shoulders, and a video of Archie running to Meghan’s arms in a corn field.

The images appear to have been taken during Lilibet’s one and only visit to the UK, when the family spent a brief weekend in London for the Queen’s Jubilee in May.

The trailer shows a lot of images of the couple’s children, especially their youngest, who was born in June 2021.

‘They just wanted to be free’: Tyler Perry says he ‘applauded’ Harry and Meghan for starting a new life – after he let couple stay in his $18M Beverly Hills mansion

The new trailer hears from actor, comedian and producer, Tyler Perry, who helped the couple as they left their lives in the UK, and royal duties, behind.

The 53-year-old was one of the couple’s closest allies and helped the couple relocate to the US, offering them his $18 million Beverly Hills home to use as their personal residence.

He has now spoken out about the couple’s relationship in the trailer for the final three instalments of the series.

‘They just wanted to be free. They wanted to be free to love and be happy. I applauded that,’ he says.

Harry goes on to say in the trailer that for the couple to be able to ‘move onto the next chapter you’ve got to finish the first chapter.’

‘It gave us a chance to create that home that we always wanted,’ said Meghan.

After announcing in 2020 that they would step back from royal duties, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex relocated to California.

The couple, along with their then-one-year-old son, Archie, spent a few months living in Perry’s Beverly Hills mansion.

They went on to purchase their own sprawling, $14.65 million estate in Montecito, California, where they live now.

Perry previously explained why he offered help to the couple, insisting that it was a ‘very difficult time for them’ and that he wanted to ‘support them’ in any way possible.

The filmmaker added that he was inspired by Harry and Meghan’s love, telling the Today show, ‘What I know about the two of them – and I wish the world knew – how much these two people love each other.

‘They found each other, out of all these odds against them finding each other, they found each other.

‘The love they have is really, really moving and I wanted to do anything I could to support them.’

He added of Meghan and Harry’s relationship: ‘If I don’t have that, what she and Harry have, I don’t want it. That’s really amazing.’

Trailer uses footage of Prince Philip’s funeral as a backdrop to Duke’s jibe over ‘lies to protect my brother’

Today’s footage used footage of Prince Philip’s funeral in a new trailer as a backdrop to the Duke’s incendiary allegations about the Royal Family.

Footage of Prince harry, Prince William and Peter Philips walking behind their grandfather’s coffin is played, while the Duke of Sussex can be heard saying ‘they were happy to lie to protect my brother’

The funeral at Windsor was the first occasion the brothers were pictured together publicly for more than a year, and they were seen talking as they walked out of St George’s Chapel.

Later on in the video Meghan also claims she was being ‘fed to the wolves’.

The Royal couple claim their security was being pulled and felt they had to urgently ‘get out of here’.

The second installment of Harry and Meghan will be released on Thursday 15 December.

More Sussex ‘truths’ debunked: How recollections vary on further claims made by Harry and Meghan in bombshell Netflix series

By Inderdeep Bains, Deputy Chief Reporter for the Daily Mail

As Buckingham Palace braces itself for the next instalment of the Harry and Meghan documentary, claims from the first part of their Netflix series continue to unravel.

Questions have already been raised about the show’s cynical editing and inconsistencies in the couple’s story, including variations on how they first met and got engaged.

Now former royal courtiers have dismissed accounts put forward by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex about their time in the royal household as outright ‘lies’. The latest claims to unravel in full:

Wedding guests: The series shows moments from the day including Prince Harry, centre, smiling surrounded by a group of friends

THE PAPARAZZI

CLAIM: The Duke of Sussex repeatedly complained that he was stalked by the paparazzi and compared trying to escape photographers to a ‘hunter versus prey’ battle. He described being harassed while a montage of clips showing him being surrounded by photographers on night outs filled the screen.

REALITY: Prince Harry allegedly posed for photographs on nights out to help promote his close friend’s nightclub.

A friend told The Sun he agreed to walk out of the main entrance of the exclusive Chelsea nightspot Public, which was co-owned by his friend Guy Pelly, in order to be pictured. Mr Pelly knew that a picture of Harry at the club would give it mass exposure.

The source said: ‘Harry started becoming a regular at the club late in 2010. Guy Pelly was his friend and he got Harry to come, which was amazing for its profile.

‘Pelly usually sneaked him in and out of the back door. It was his idea to get him at the front door a few times. Harry was pictured and, boom, the club really took off.’

New footage: The Sussexes’ documentary shows clips from the pair’s wedding which took place in May 2018

WEDDING INVITATION

CLAIM: Meghan has complained that Kensington Palace aides advised her not to invite her niece Ashleigh Hale, the daughter of her estranged half-sister Samantha Markle, to her 2018 wedding.

She said they struggled with the notion that her estranged half-sister was not invited: ‘How do we explain that this half-sister isn’t invited to the wedding, but that the half-sister’s daughter is?

‘And so with Ashleigh, the guidance at the time was to not have her come to our wedding.’

In the programme, Ashleigh, an immigration lawyer, said she was left feeling ‘hurt’ by the decision.

REALITY: Royal sources have dismissed the claims as a ‘complete and utter lie’ and said that they had, in fact, wanted more of Meghan’s family at the wedding to make it ‘look less weird’.

A source told the Sunday Times: ‘That just didn’t happen. We never gave any advice, steer or guidance on who of her family or friends should or shouldn’t come.’ The source said Meghan said she would have invited Ashleigh but did not want to as it ‘would have put her under intense scrutiny’.

‘It was not a question she put to us. We would never tell her not to invite her own niece and we would never get involved in any management of personal relationships,’ they added.

Another source confirmed: ‘Meghan didn’t want the media to know about Ashleigh. No one on earth would have said don’t invite family to the wedding. That’s a complete and utter lie. We wanted more family there to make it look less weird for her.’ Meghan’s mother Doria was the only member of her family at the wedding as her father Thomas Markle had suffered a heart attack after being accused of staging photos for money.

NO ROYAL LESSONS

CLAIM: Harry and Meghan claim that she was left to fend for herself and was not given any schooling on royal etiquette to help her adapt to her new role.

Meghan said she did not know what a walkabout was or how to curtsy and was reduced to Googling the national anthem. She complained she was left floundering with no instructions, struggled with what to wear and was forced to ‘learn a lot’ on her own.

Harry said the lack of support was ‘just ridiculous’.

REALITY: Royal sources said this was a ‘total lie’ and that Meghan was presented with a detailed dossier about her future role complete with access to a list of experts who could help her.

‘There was prep for everything, walkabouts, clothes, everything,’ a source told the Sunday Times. According to the newspaper, Meghan met with just two experts: the late Queen’s private secretary Lord Geidt and a well-connected person for wardrobe advice.

THE MISLEADING IMAGES

CLAIM: Filmmakers used photographs purporting to show that Meghan was being pursued by the press in a ‘dangerous way’ when filming Suits.

In episode two, Silver Tree, the producer of Suits, claimed people were breaking into the area where Meghan’s trailer was and said photographers would hide with ‘really long lenses’. An image of a man dressed in black trying to discreetly take photos was shown alongside pictures of Meghan.

REALITY: The image used is in fact a stock photo which is on sale on the Alamy stock photo agency website. It can be bought for as little as £11.99. The image is the latest in a string which appear to have been used misleadingly.
