Ex-British No 1 asks BBC to hire ‘world’s sexiest tennis influencer’ for Wimbledon | Tennis | Sport

Tennis influencer Rachel Stuhlmann has been given a ‘recommendation’ by John Lloyd to join the BBC’s Wimbledon coverage from next year. Dubbed the ‘world’s sexiest tennis influencer’, Stuhlammn has amassed a substantial following on social media with her videos attracting nearly a million views on TikTok.

Stuhlmann refers to herself as the ‘No 1 tennis influencer’ in her social media bio and has more than 312,000 followers on Instagram. While Stuhlmann is well known for her raunchy content, she also has a strong following for her helpful tennis tips as the 31-year-old claimed she had the potential to turn professional as a kid.

But the multi-talented social media influencer has also dabbled in commentary and presenting and that may well lead to an opportunity with the BBC – if Lloyd gets his way. The 68-year-old has been a regular commentator for the BBC’s tennis coverage since the 1990s.

And Lloyd wants to use his standing with the British broadcaster to help Stuhlamnn work at Wimbledon next year. Stuhlmann appeared on the Rock n Roll Tennis Podcast with Lloyd saying: “I work for the BBC, I’m going to put a recommendation, we need you on our team.”

His offer went down well with Stuhlmann, who replied: “That’s awesome, I would love that.” The tennis influencer later joked that she would “need to button up a little bit when going there [Wimbledon]”.

But she went on to explain why commentating and presenting would be something she’d like to get into more. “I have done some commentating at the Lexington Open and it was so fun for me,” Stuhlmann added.
