Drivers urged to use hidden button in their car to make driving so much easier

The automotive influencer @dongcheshijie has revealed a list of hidden functions in cars some drivers don’t know about. The video, which has already received 1.3million likes and over 3,000 comments, gave drivers simple tips to make driving easier and safer.

One piece of advice @dongcheshijie featured is how to avoid glare from vehicles behind when driving at night. She explained: “When driving at night, the rear lights are very dazzling.”

“We only need to turn the small wrench under the rearview mirror to turn on the anti-glare function.”

Virtually all modern cars feature an interior rear-view mirror that can be adjusted in order to prevent glare when driving at night. In most cases, drivers simply have to push the tab located underneath the mirror toward the windscreen.

While some of the latest cars feature interior mirrors that automatically dim at night, most will allow the driver to change brightness settings by pushing a small button found underneath or on the back of the mirror.

@dongcheshijie also highlighted a handy way of remembering which side to park your car at the gas station.

She added: “Forgot which side the fuel tank cap was on when going to refuel?”

“Look at the dashboard where the fuel tank triangle arrow points to. The fuel tank cap is on that side.”

Finally, @dongcheshijie also gave drivers a tip for reducing panel gaps between the hood and the wings.

She explained: “The machine cover is uneven and has large gaps. Let’s open the hood and find this black rubber block on the back of the hood.”

“Clockwise is to increase the gap, counterclockwise is to reduce the gap. Look, the gap is getting smaller.”
