Despite the promulgation of the law, the left wants to “continue the fight”…

11:45 am: “Continue the fight” and prevent discouragement on the left

The validation of the reform and the rejection of the referendum of shared initiative constitute a reverse for Nupes. A second request for RIP was filed on Thursday to try to remedy the flaws in the first version, and some on the left place reasonable hopes in it, such as socialist senators. “We are going to file a third RIP or even others if we have time”, even launched a PS official in private.

But others do not believe it, like the national secretary of EELV Marine Tondelier, who slipped about the decision of the Constitutional Council which will be taken on May 3: “It will be the same, rejected…” The party leader accuses the blow, “shocked” by this failure of the RIP. But she promised: “the parties, the unions, the French will not move on”.

Indeed, to “continue the fight”, the left intends to swell the ranks of the demonstrations, particularly on May 1 with the inter-union, traditional meeting on the left which should be more massive than usual. But for the PS official quoted above, “between now and May 1, there cannot be demonstrations every week”: “there is a form of exhaustion, people are tired of demonstrating for nothing, with the risk that it will unravel, ”he warned.
