But before DeSantis can actually run for president, he must first win the Republican primary – and in doing so, get rid of his one-time mentor Donald Trump. He reacted promptly to the announcement of his inner-party rival: “Instead of being grateful, DeSantis is now attacking the very man who saved his career,” says one of two videos Trump posted on his online platform “Truth Social”. published.
