The record holder of Dance with the stars will no longer claim the trophy race. Last week, TF1 revealed which will be the members of the jury who will note the performances of the candidates for the twelfth season of the show presented by Camille Combal, scheduled for the coming school year. If Chris Marques and François Alu will continue to sit behind the table, this will no longer be the case for Jean-Paul Gaultier and Denitsa Ikonomova. The one who won the competition four times confided in her departure this weekend through her Instagram account.
“It is with a heavy heart that I confirm that I will unfortunately not be part of season 12 of Dance with the stars “Wrote the one who won the program on the arm of Rayane Bensetti, Loïc Nottet, Laurent Maistret and Clément Rémiens. The dancer confides that her eight years of experience on the floor have given her “a lot of self-confidence and the strength necessary to meet the challenges that life has thrown at me, including that of becoming a juror”. In this regard, Denitsa Ikonomova lets the mystery hang over the origin of this decision: “I would have loved to relive this experience but fate decided otherwise…”
Christian Millette also announces his departure
But Denitsa Ikonomova will not be the only one to no longer appear in the casting of Dance with the stars. This Sunday, Christian Millette, another emblematic artist of the show, announced his departure. “This show has helped me gain self-confidence over the years. Today, life pushes me to undertake new projects and to fulfill myself in other areas. I’m ready, ”wrote the one who appeared on the show for nine consecutive seasons.
“I will always continue to surpass myself and even if it would have been a pleasure to participate in the next season, I am grateful for all these years spent on Dance with the stars which have changed my life”, indicates Christian Millette who will continue to perform fox-trot and paso-doble thanks to the D’pendanse troupe, of which Denitsa Ikonomova is also a member.
