Lady Gaga’s ex says: Elon Musk was Amber Heard’s stopgap
Amber Heard and Johnny Depp’s marriage lasted just 15 months, and the court battles have been going on for several years

Johnny Depp’s trial of Amber Heard for alleged defamation has been going on for two and a half weeks. Now his former manager and ex-fiancé Lady Gaga, Christian Carino, testified.
Johnny Depp has repeatedly accused his ex-wife Amber Heard of having an affair with alleged new Twitter owner Elon Musk while he was still in a relationship with her. Depp’s attorneys showed recorded testimony from Christian Carino in the courtroom in Fairfax, Virginia on Wednesday. This was an agent of the renowned Hollywood artist agency CAA and represented Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. In addition, Carino was with Lady Gaga between 2017 and 2019, and they were even engaged the last year together.
According to his statement, the manager initiated a meeting of the ex-partners in 2016, after Heard’s complaint against Depp and the installation of an injunction and a restraining order. The desire for it came from the actress, but Johnny Depp was “reluctant”. Heard’s motivation for the meeting was the desire for reconciliation, Carino said. Ultimately, however, it ended in a fight.

Soon after that meeting, the actress began a relationship with Tesla boss Elon Musk. A year later this was over and she wrote several messages to Christian Carino. The emails, which were read aloud, read: “Processing the breakup. Hate it when it gets public. Look I’m so sad.” To which Carino responded, “Seems like a press release. You weren’t in love with him. And you’ve told me a thousand times that you’re just filling in the blank.” And: “I mean, why would you even be sad if you weren’t in love with him.” Heard wrote back, “I know, but I wanted time to grieve and recuperate in my own time.” The agent couldn’t say for sure whether she was referring to Johnny Depp or Elon Musk.
Depp has sued his ex after she wrote a 2018 article for the Washington Post that she was a victim of domestic violence. Although Heard didn’t mention his name, the actor is sure everyone knew it was him. Because of the allegations, he is suing her for $50 million in damages – because that’s why he didn’t get jobs anymore. Christian Carino also testified that the allegations of abuse destroyed Depp’s participation in the sixth part of “Pirates of the Caribbean”.
Amber Heard is scheduled to take the stand next week, Court TV reported on Wednesday.
