Deep Sea Creature: Man Finds Bizarre Creature On Beach In Scotland

Watch the video: Man finds bizarre creature on a beach in Scotland.

Well, what is that?

Mark Arnott takes a leisurely stroll along Edinburgh’s Porto Bello Beach.

Placemark: Scotland

Suddenly he sees a strange creature on the beach.

At first the engineer thinks it is a pine cone covered in moss.

But then the walker notices that the creature is moving.

“For a brief moment I actually thought it might be an alien.” -Mark vs. SWNS

The walker bends down and films his discovery.

“I saw this green thing with weird needles and had no idea what it was.”

When he turns the extraordinary creature over, he discovers many small legs.

Pete Haskell from the environmental organization “Scottish Wildlife Trust” is helping him to identify the animal.

It is a washed up sea mouse.

Sea mice are worm-like marine creatures commonly found off the coast of England.

They are mainly found on muddy seabeds and typically live at depths of around 1000 meters.

So this is indeed an unusual sighting.

Especially the green and gold shimmering surface makes this animal look like it is not from this world.
