What drove an SUV driver to ruthlessly race into a Christmas parade in the US town of Waukesha? According to the investigation, he was apparently on the run. The man is now officially accused of fivefold murder.

The man who drove a car into a Christmas parade in the US state of Wisconsin and killed five people has been accused of five murders. Waukesha City Police Chief Dan Thompson identified the detainee on Monday as 39-year-old Darrell B. “We are confident he acted alone. There is no evidence that it was a terrorist incident,” Thompson said .

Accordingly, the man had apparently been involved in a domestic dispute before he raced into the Christmas parade in Waukesha on Sunday. At least one knife is said to have been used in the dispute. Before the police could reach the location of the domestic dispute, the suspect fled.

Wisconsin: 39-year-old already known to the police

Apparently immediately afterwards, the man with a red SUV raced into the Christmas parade of the 72,000-inhabitant city in the greater Milwaukee area. At least five people were killed and 48 injured, including many children.

According to court documents, the 39-year-old from Milwaukee has come into conflict with the law over the years. He was charged with endangering others, violating gun laws and a case of domestic violence. US media had already reported on Monday morning that B. may have been on the run after another incident when he raced into the Christmas parade.
