Dead man on train tracks in Neumarkt: man not yet identified – Bavaria

The identity of the man who was run over by a freight train in Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz has not yet been clearly clarified. The police said on Monday that a DNA comparison would be required for this. The police are investigating the case because of initial suspicion of a homicide.

According to our findings, the deceased was a 48-year-old man. He was lying on the train tracks in Neumarkt late Thursday afternoon. A train driver was no longer able to brake in time.

The police arrested three suspects, aged 21, 24 and 31, on Friday night. An arrest warrant was issued against her. The body was also autopsied on Friday. The police did not provide any information about the result on Monday for tactical reasons.
