It’s not just when it’s time to switch to summer time that some find it difficult to get out of bed. It’s easier with these apps.

On the night of March 27, the time jumps from 2:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. It’s worth taking a look at these apps so that you can start the day well despite the lack of an hour’s sleep.

alarmy

The makers of the “Alarmy” app have come up with many an obstacle to keep hibernators awake. Thus, the application offers the possibility of taking a photo of a certain place in the apartment, which must be pieced together to stop the alarm. Other options include scanning a barcode, solving math problems, or pausing the alarm by shaking the device vigorously. On the other hand, if you have trouble falling asleep, you will find soothing melodies and noises in the app that will accompany you on your journey to the land of dreams. “Alarmy” is for Android and iOS available for free.

Alarm Clock Xtreme

The “Alarm Clock Xtreme” app is very extensive and also comes up with numerous wake-up calls. Its special focus is on the customizable snooze function, which ranges from the extra large button to the side buttons. Users can specify in advance what happens when they press the snooze button. The option of ever shorter snooze phases is particularly popular, and the maximum number of times per wake-up call can also be defined. “Alarm Clock Xtreme” is free for Android available.

bedr

Anyone who likes to get their day off to their favorite radio station will find happiness at “bedr”. More than 7,000 radio stations are gathered in the application. So if you want to be woken up by Caribbean rhythms or New Zealand presenters for a change, you can do that too. If a transmitter fails, a conventional backup alarm clock is included in the app. “bedr” is for Android and iOS free of charge, the ad-free Pro variant costs 1.99 euros.

Sleep as Android

The app “Sleep as Android” guides you gently into the day. It contains nature sounds such as storms, the sound of the sea or birdsong. In order not to fall asleep again immediately with this soothing sound, exercises such as simple arithmetic tasks are part of the app. It can also record sleep cycles, including deep sleep or snoring phases, but only in the Pro version. The basic version of the app is free of charge, users have to pay a one-time fee of 19.99 euros for all functions. As the name suggests, “Sleep as Android” is only for Android-Devices available.

Sleep Cycle

The “Sleep Cycle” app promises to wake up its users when they are lightly asleep. This makes it easier to get out of bed and you are less tired during the day. Within a predefined time window, “Sleep Cycle” wakes you up on your own initiative. The catch: the device has to be very close to or in the bed to capture the sounds of sleeping, and it can’t tell if someone is actually sleeping or just lying down. If you still want to try the application and take a look at the analysis of your own sleep phases, you can find it free of charge in the playstore and in AppStore.
