Irvine, USA – Diablo 4 celebrates release on the night of June 5th/6th. Now it is unofficially known what the day one patch for the launch will change in the game. The update is probably smaller than initially thought, but makes 4 of the 5 classes in Diablo 4 stronger and clearly nerfs one item. We show you the patch notes in German that you should know about Diablo 4 Early Access.

Diablo 4 is supposed to nerf an item in the Day One Patch tonight, but make 4 classes stronger

Diablo 4 Day One Patch: Only a few more hours, in the night of June 2nd, then it starts Diablo 4. We already know that there is a Day One Patch, so an update right after the release. These patch notes for Diablo 4 confused the fans, so Blizzard had to clarify.

What’s in tonight’s update? At first it was said that big balance changes were coming for Diablo 4. That would mean that pretty much all builds and tier lists would be useless after the update. However, the changes from the unofficial patch notes that have now been published are much less spectacular than initially feared. Here are the leaked changes to four Diablo 4 classes:

  • barbarian: The Ancestral Echoes aspect grants a 40-50% chance for your Invocation of the Ancestors (Ultimate Ability) to auto-trigger and use one of their abilities such as Whirlwind when you use Whirlwind. Is that enough to really make the barbarian stronger?
  • Druid: The durations of the Cataclysm, Petrify, Grizzly Rage, and Lacerate abilities are all buffed and now last 1-2 seconds longer. Solid buffs that definitely make druids more attractive.
  • Hunter (Rogue): The Dash now deals slightly more damage to enemies: 36% instead of 32%. A small buff, but you will often feel it.
  • Necromancer (Necromancer): The “Golem” passively deals slightly more damage (21% from 17%) and now automatically absorbs 15% of the damage you would take. When actively summoned, the Golem no longer taunts, but instead leeches 4% life from enemies and heals itself. A strong buff.
  • Nerf for elixirs, i.e. potions that make you stronger for 30 minutes: chance of critical hits is halved (from 8 to 4% to from 12 to 6%). Elixirs for dodging are also weakened, but only slightly.

Diablo 4 gets an update for the release – these are the unofficial patch notes

Where are the patch notes coming from? The information about the update does not come from Blizzard itself. We have the changes from the experts at WoWHead. They read the files for Patch 1.0.2 (Day One Update) from the game itself, since the Diablo 4 preload has started. Even if the patch notes are quite likely, keep in mind that there can still be changes and the information is only leaks.

If you can’t stand the last few hours until the release, you can find our review of Diablo 4 here, which finally attests Blizzard a hit after 10 years. So that you are perfectly prepared tonight: Everything about Diablo 4 Start Early Access – time, day one patch & more.
