David Rachline’s curfew targeting young migrants canceled by justice

According to information from Var-Morning, the Toulon administrative court annulled the order of the mayor of Fréjus David Rachline (RN) who had decreed a curfew near a migrant center.

This decree, dated September 30, stipulated that “the movement of minors unaccompanied by an adult is prohibited from October 1, 2019 to January 31, 2020, from 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., when this night traffic is likely to affect good order, tranquility or public security ”. The curfew applied within a perimeter defined around a holiday center which accommodates, under the aegis of the State, 35 unaccompanied foreign minors.

According to the judgment of the administrative court, seized by the prefect of Var, the municipality of Fréjus has not demonstrated “That there would exist [un] particular risk of disturbances to public order to which these minors are exposed or of which they are the cause ”.
