David Odonkor was so bothered by the fact that Kim and Leyla were walking around the jungle camp wearing very scantily clad clothing that he made a point on day eleven. This also sparks a discussion online.

Murwillumbah – Because it gets humid and hot in the Australian bush, especially during the day, the jungle camp candidates have taken precautions: The celebrities can not only cool off in the nearby natural pool, but have also packed airy clothing as a precaution. However, this causes controversy on day eleven (January 29th). Because ex-DFB professional David Odonkor (39) doesn’t seem to be a fan of textile-free coexistence.

Clothing dispute in the jungle camp: David Odonkor criticizes Kim and Leyla

In particular Jungle camp fighting hen Kim Virginia (28) and the former “Bachelor” candidate Leyla Lahouar (27) have been confidently wearing tight-fitting bathing outfits for a few days now, which they also wear away from the cool water. You don’t seem at all comfortable with such open-heartedness: David Odonkor no longer wants to remain silent and finally confronts the two of them.

“I have a question for the two girls: Can you please put something on?” he asks his fellow campers and adds: “I always look there when you’re standing there.” The two reality stars’ choice of clothing was “not suitable for the camp,” says the third-placed World Cup winner in 2006. He advises Kim and Leyla to dress “as they would at home” – but not in public. As expected, the horror of the two women is great: “I was shocked,” explains Leyla later in an individual interview, while Kim accuses him of having “self-control problems”.

Jungle camp viewers disagree: Is David Odonkor right with his criticism?

David Odonkor’s outfit criticism divides the jungle camp viewers into two camps: supporters and critics. This is shown by a number of comments on an Instagram post showing the scene. “David is absolutely right. “It also has something to do with decency,” a user supports the 39-year-old, another RTL viewer agrees: “Finally someone who says it!” Other feedback complains that “not so in the swimming pool” and “I’m a star – get me out of here!” is “not a dating show”. “I even think it’s unhygienic,” adds another fan.

Others, however, strongly oppose this view: “You can run around however you want. If someone has a problem, don’t look at it” or “The men run around there half-naked all day, it doesn’t bother anyone,” are the comments. They also repeatedly note that David has never complained about Lucy Diakovska (47): “That [sie] Walking around in a bikini top all day doesn’t bother him. The problem is not the girls’ freedom of movement, but his thoughts,” denounces the Austrian TV actress Tara Tabitha (30).

It is not the first time this season that scenes from the RTL format have caused lively discussions on social networks: Most recently, some viewers denounced double standards in the jungle camp after Kim Virginia’s statements about Mike Heiter (31).
