David Garrett will go on the Millennium Symphony Tour – Munich in 2025 with a new album

He’s a record-breaking master of speed, which is the only way to explain why David Garrett seems to be everywhere at once. Concert here, book presentation there, talk show there. And now the star violinist from Aachen has given a press conference in Cologne, although he will be playing some classical concerts in Mexico starting the day after tomorrow, after which he will then play some summer festivals in Germany with his poppier crossover program “Alive” (around the 13th . July in Rosenheim).

But Garrett has already rushed further ahead into the future, and that’s what it was all about in Cologne: his “Millennium Symphony Live Tour 2025”. It will start in Europe, including the band and orchestra in the Munich Olympiahalle on Thursday, March 20th, 2025, and then take it via Vienna (March 21st) to nine other major German music arenas (March 24th Mannheim, March 25th Stuttgart, 26.3. Hamburg, 29.4. Hanover, 2.4. Cologne, 6.4. What’s also interesting is what happens next: Namely around the globe, because for his international expansion, Garrett, who has already given 1,600 concerts over the course of his three-decade career, has presented his new organizing partner: the boss of entertainment -Market leader Live Nation, Michael Rapino, the New Yorker by choice recently signed a “global concert contract” in Los Angeles (initially around 65 concerts in 20 countries).

In Cologne, Garrett also presented his new album for the tour, the first since the classical album “Iconic” from 2022 and the crossover album “Alive – My Soundtrack” from 2020. On “Millennium Symphony” “the magic of ingenious violin variations” ( as it says in the press release) interpret the “biggest pop song of the last 25 years” again in his dizzying style, i.e. “megahits by Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Ed Sheeran, The Weeknd, David Guetta, Undo Lindenberg and Apache 207”. The album is due to be released in autumn and is the basis for the tour repertoire.
