Electric Callboy has climbed the album charts. The band of former “Bachelorette” winner David Friedrich jumped to first place with “Tekkno”.
The trancecore/metalcore band Electric Callboy has ascended the throne of the official German charts for the first time. As GfK Entertainment announced on Friday, the new album “Tekkno” by the group from Castrop-Rauxel is number one. Their drummer David Friedrich (32) is best known from the six-piece formation. Friedrich took part in the fourth season of the RTL dating show “The Bachelorette” in 2017 and won the heart of Jessica Paszka (32) at the time.
Friedrich and Paszka were a couple until the end of September 2017. In the spring of 2018, Friedrich then took part in the twelfth season of the RTL show “I’m a star – get me out of here!” participated and finished fourth. At that time, Jenny Frankhauser (30) became the jungle queen. Electric Callboy was founded in 2010 as Eskimo Callboy. Friedrich has been their drummer since 2021. It wasn’t until the beginning of the year that the name was changed to Electric Callboy.
Hardly any movement in the single charts
Also new in the album charts is the album “Zorn & Liebe” by the indie pop band Province at number two and “Born Pink” by the South Korean girl group “Blackpink” at number three. In the single charts, however, there is little movement: places one, two and three go unchanged to Nina Chuba (23) with “Wildberry Lillet”, Miksu/Macloud & Makko with “Nachts awake” and David Guetta (54) & Bebe Resha with the song “I’m Good (Blue)”. With the Oktoberfest behind you, the Ballermann hit “Layla” by DJ Robin (26) and Schürze improves from six to four.
