The fourth season of the Sky series “Das Boot” is in the starting blocks. From September 23, the six new episodes will be shown.

On September 23rd we will finally continue with the award-winning Sky series “The Boat”. As the pay station announced, the six new episodes will then be shown on Sky One in double episodes from 8:15 p.m. They are also available as a complete season via Sky Q and the Wow streaming service. The first three seasons are also available there. Parallel to the information about the start date, Sky also published a trailer for the new season via YouTube.

In the now fourth season, everything revolves around the escalating submarine war in the Mediterranean. Resistance to the Nazis was also growing in the ranks of the Nazi Navy. Meanwhile, the siblings Klaus (Rick Okon) and Hannie Hoffmann (Rosalie Thomass) make peace and pursue common goals. While Klaus returns to the German Reich, Hannie helps orphans and uncovers infamous machinations of the Nazi Reich.

“Das Boot” Season 4: Numerous new and familiar faces

In addition to returnees such as Okon, Franz Dinda and Florian Panzner, a whole series of new actors complete the cast of “Das Boot”. Apart from the already mentioned Thomass, Wilson Gonzalez Ochsenknecht, Lara Mandoki and Stefan Murr are also new in season four. Dennis Gansel is directing the six episodes of season four. Filming was completed in September 2022 and took place in Prague and Malta.

The series “Das Boot” was first broadcast on November 28, 2018 on Sky. The novels “Die Festung” and “Das Boot” by author Lothar-Günther Buchheim and the film adaptation of the same name by Wolfgang Petersen from 1981 served as a basis. The original cinema film was an international success and was nominated for six Oscars, among other things. Numerous well-known actors such as Martin Semmelrogge, Klaus Wennemann, Jan Fedder, Heinz Hoenig and Jürgen Prochnow celebrated their breakthrough with “Das Boot”. The musician Herbert Grönemeyer can also be seen in one of the main roles.
