The fourth season of the Sky series “Das Boot” is in the starting blocks. From September 23, the six new episodes will be shown.

On September 23rd, the award-winning Sky series “Das Boot” will finally continue. As the pay station announced, the six new episodes will then be shown on Sky One in double episodes from 8:15 p.m. They are also available as a complete season via Sky Q and the Wow streaming service. The first three seasons are also available there. Parallel to the information of the start date, Sky also published a trailer for the new season via YouTube.

In the now fourth season, everything revolves around the escalating submarine war in the Mediterranean. Resistance to the Nazis was also growing in the ranks of the Nazi Navy. Meanwhile, the siblings Klaus (Rick Okon, 34) and Hannie Hoffmann (Rosalie Thomass, 35) make peace and pursue common goals. While Klaus returns to the German Reich, Hannie helps orphans and uncovers infamous machinations of the Nazi Reich.

In addition to returnees such as Okon, Franz Dinda (40) and Florian Panzner (47), a whole series of new actors complement the cast of “Das Boot”. Apart from the Thomass already mentioned, Wilson Gonzalez Ochsenknecht (33), Lara Mandoki (33) and Stefan Murr (47) are new in season four. Dennis Gansel (48) is responsible for directing the six episodes from season four. Filming was completed in September 2022 and took place in Prague and Malta.

The series “Das Boot” was first broadcast on November 28, 2018 on Sky. The novels “Die Festung” and “Das Boot” by author Lothar-Günther Buchheim (1918-2007) as well as the film adaptation of the same name by Wolfgang Petersen (1941-2022) from 1981 served as models. The original film was an international success and nominated for six Oscars, among others. Numerous well-known actors such as Martin Semmelrogge (67), Klaus Wennemann (59), Jan Fedder (64), Heinz Hoenig (71) and Jürgen Prochnow (82) celebrated their breakthrough with “Das Boot”. The musician Herbert Grönemeyer (67) can also be seen in one of the main roles.
