Daryna Gladun in the Munich Poetry Cabinet – Munich

The poet Daryna Gladun is currently a guest of the Munich for a few weeks Poetry Cabinet. Founded as a bookshop, the facility has since helped shape the German poetry scene, particularly through numerous readings. Gladun, born in 1993 in Butcha, Ukraine, has already dealt with the Soviet legacy and life in her “post-totalitarian” homeland with her “The shadow of handsome red boys”. With her project “Hurricane Zone at the Doormat” she is now dealing with the experience of fleeing this homeland. The project ties in with her art project “Migration Zones”. The impressions of her very personal escape story, with “probably the last suburban train from Butscha”, then with many other trains, appeared in her in the FAZ Correspondence with the author Asal Dardan to read. The stay at the Munich Lyrik Kabinett was made possible by the Goethe Institute and the Artists-at-Risk organization, which places Ukrainian artists with German cultural institutions.
