Darts star Peter Wright (51) moves into the final of the Darts World Cup. Against his Scottish compatriot Gary Anderson (51), the number two in the world prevailed almost 6: 4 in a world-class game.

A few years ago women even got into each other. In 2016, Wright’s wife accused Anderson on Twitter of giving up a game so that her husband would miss the Premier League play-offs. The joint victory at the Team World Cup 2019 for Scotland reconciled the two.
Wright marches on initially (3-0). With him, the game of arrows, accurate to the millimeter, looks so easy. Then Anderson shows his coolness for the first time. He checks 92 points over the 20, double 18, double 18 to win the first set, and then 105 points to 2: 3 in sets.

Anderson is slowly working his way into the Scots party, shortened to 3: 4 in the sets. In the end it will be an incredible mega match between both players. But Anderson doesn’t catch up with Wright’s lead despite great darts.
Wright even breaks the world record! And at 12:33 a.m. he turned his first match dart on the double-20. Then he bursts into tears in the interview.
In the final in the evening (9 pm, DAZN and Sport1), Wright will meet the “Bully Boy” Michael Smith, who showed it to his compatriot James Wade in the first semi-final.
