The controversial Swiss historian Daniele Ganser will perform at Circus Krone on Thursday. The Lacey-Krone family, which runs the circus, had tried to prevent the star of the conspiracy ideological scene from appearing. In a Statement on the homepage of the circus she announced that she had had the prospects of canceling the event independently checked by two law firms.
“As in similar cases in other cities, there are no prospects of terminating the rental agreement with the event agency or prohibiting it by a court order in Munich either,” the statement said. “The event, for which an employee of Circus Krone Bau rented the hall building on his own responsibility and without the knowledge of the Lacey-Krone family, will therefore take place.”
The Lacey-Krone family had already distanced themselves from the Swiss and “values the statement that they expressly do not share Mr. Ganser’s views”. The family therefore wants to donate the rental income from the lease for the event to a charitable institution, which, according to the announcement, is to be selected together with the city of Munich. There is no additional income from the event.
Ganser has a doctorate in history and describes himself as a peace researcher. He sees the main blame for the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine in the hands of NATO, the USA and the German government. Both the “Munich is colorful” alliance, which sharply criticized the performance, and Ganser supporters from the lateral thinker scene have called for rallies in front of the Circus Krone in the evening.
