With “Afterglow – All just a show?” starts a new series on December 21st that dares to take a look behind the scenes of a dating show. The focus is on the candidates of the fictional format “Find me @ the beach”. Daniel Völz: “My role Armando is very naive”

“The series is finally something completely new in Germany,” explains Völz in a message from UFA Serial Drama. “The series tells what happens after the show is over, the cameras are off, and before the world is ‘allowed’ to know.” His role Armando would not have thought “to fall in love with such a format. He is the TV partner of Juna, the main role, and causes a lot of emotions and stress,” reveals the ex-“Bachelor”. Armando is honest and has his heart on his tongue. “What makes us different: My role Armando is very naive, partly when it comes to relationships and also because of what reality TV life brings with it.”

The ten episodes of the first season are always available on Tuesdays and Thursdays (8:15 p.m.) on Amazon Video, Patreon and Only Fans. The series was shot in Munich and Mallorca in autumn 2021. Showrunner is “Adam sucht Eva” candidate Anna Juliana Jaenner (33), who can also be seen in the lead role Juna. For them, after the “Find me @ the beach” show, the real roller coaster ride of emotions begins in reality. She gets into a loyalty conflict that drives her to the edge of despair. And the other members of the field of participants also have to deal with the consequences of their participation in the show. The series is reminiscent of the US format “Unreal” (2015-2018), which tells of the production of the fictional reality TV show “Everlasting” and is based on “The Bachelor”.
