Marvel fans want Daniel Radcliffe to be the next Wolverine. Now the “Harry Potter” star has commented on it.

Daniel Radcliffe (33) has commented on the rumors that he should be the new Wolverine actor in the “X-Men” universe. “It’s just a rumor from a press tour”, he clarified in an interview with “GQ”.. According to Radcliffe, the misunderstanding came about because he sometimes answered interview questions in a special way out of boredom. “I should just never open my mouth,” he concludes.

The rumor about Radcliffe as the successor to Hugh Jackman (54) has been circulating since 2019. At that time, the “Harry Potter” star made a joke in an interview. He becomes Wolverine “if you wash him hot and he shrinks,” said the 1.65-meter man at the time.

Marvel fans want Daniel Radcliffe as Wolverine

The funny quote took on a life of its own – and met the desire of many Marvel fans. Again and again they brought Radcliffe into play as the new actor of the invulnerable clawed man. And pointed out, for example, that Wolverine was rather small in the comics.

In the spring of 2022, the rumor mill boiled up again. At the time, there was speculation that Wolverine might appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The speculation that he could impersonate the role, rejected Radcliffe back then.

Hugh Jackman first played John Logan aka Wolverine in 2000’s X-Men. In 2017, the Australian said goodbye to the role in the swan song “Logan – The Wolverine”.
