The Flower Power Festival has the whole city firmly under control – including the big party “Tanz den Gasteig” next Saturday. If you want to dance to “Aquarius” from “Hair” not just anywhere, but directly on the stage of the Isarphilharmonie, the HP8 is the place for you. Students from the Abraxas Musical Academy show how it’s done in workshops. And of course you can also have your make-up done in a flower power look. Those who are more into the “Rocky Horror Picture Show” can learn to sway their hips to the “time warp”.
But these are just two of the events that will make the area outside and all the halls inside tremble at “Tanz den Gasteig”. It starts in the afternoon, for example with street dance for kids, hippie salon, hula hoop, roller skate disco and Balinese temple dances. Or how about an acting workshop, South Sea dances or a dance karaoke event? There will also be inclusive movement workshops, and a silent disco offers everyone the opportunity to dance in the open air when the weather is good. In the evening, tango and salsa, funk and soul and, of course, house and electro attract night owls to the halls around the Isarphilharmonie.
