The “Tagesthemen” are waiting for you on Friday with a special program. Ingo Zamperoni is broadcasting live from the site of the Isar 2 nuclear power plant.

The “Tagesthemen” leave the usual studio in Hamburg this Friday (April 14). Instead, the program with moderator Ingo Zamperoni (48) will be broadcast live from the site of the Isar 2 nuclear power plant near Landshut. The broadcaster has now announced this. The background: On April 15, the last three German nuclear power plants will be taken off the grid.

“In this special edition of the ‘Tagesthemen’, moderator Ingo Zamperoni and reporter Philip Kuntschner (BR) share their exclusive pictures and impressions from inside the power plant in a report,” says the press release. They also talk to opponents and supporters of nuclear energy. Interviews with the Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Söder (56, CSU), the Green Party leader Ricarda Lang (29) and Carsten Müller, the head of the Isar 2 nuclear power plant, are also planned. In addition, the future of energy supply should also be examined.

“Being there with the ‘daily topics’ is always something special for us,” said moderator Zamperoni. “At Isar 2, we were once again able to gain an exclusive insight into the ongoing operation of this highly complex technology. It was definitely an exciting experience.” But it won’t be the last “daily topics” special, as the second editor-in-chief of ARD-aktuell, Helge Fuhst (39), suggests: “After our show live from Kiev last year and the show about switching off the nuclear power plants are in this year more ‘daily topics’ editions are planned by on site.”

The show will last 45 minutes and will start as usual at 10:15 p.m. The issue can then also be found in the ARD media library.
