Dachau: Two rear-end collisions on the A99 – Dachau

On Monday morning, two accidents on the A99 led to significant traffic delays. It crashed for the first time at 7.30 a.m. in front of the Aubinger Tunnel. According to the Fürstenfeldbruck Traffic Police Inspectorate, a 19-year-old from the Dachau district who was heading towards Lindau was unable to stop her car in time and hit a 28-year-old driver from the Augsburg district in the rear. The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital. The vehicles suffered damage totaling around 5,000 euros. Because of the accident, traffic initially had to be diverted in one lane over the hard shoulder until the vehicles had been recovered.

A rear-end collision also occurred in the opposite lane towards Salzburg at around 8.50 a.m. at the Munich-West motorway junction after the driver of a small van from the Dachau district wanted to overtake a semitrailer: According to the police, the man only recognized another overtaking vehicle late and therefore stopped his overtaking process . Because of his still high speed, he was no longer able to stop behind the truck and he crashed into it. The damage to both vehicles amounts to around 28,000 euros. Debris lying around caused considerable obstruction, and the lanes had to be closed for a short time to remove the parts. Both drivers were uninjured.
