The Bayerische Jugendring (BJR), the Kreisjugendring (KJR) and the Stadtjugendpflege have canceled the “Sound Circus Festival”. The event should have taken place this Saturday, October 1st, in the Ludwig-Ernst-Park in Dachau. The reason given by the organizers in a press release was the bad weather and the resulting safety concerns.
The continuous rain has already softened the ground in the park, and damage to the green area would be unavoidable as a result of the construction and implementation. Likewise, a safe construction and the statics of the event tent are no longer guaranteed.
The organizers have made the decision with a heavy heart, but consider it necessary. “Safety comes first,” said BJR President Matthias Fack and thanked all those involved in planning and preparing the festival. An extensive program with artistic, sporting and musical highlights was set up under the BJR anniversary motto “#machwasausmorgen”.
