Dachau – Lessons on the display – Dachau

The IT department of the city of Dachau has continued its digitization offensive as part of the digital pact in recent months and equipped the Dachau elementary and secondary schools with further modern devices. In the middle school Dachau-Ost, the elementary school Dachau-Ost and the convent school, 24 interactive displays were installed; these are digital boards. At the end of the offensive there will be 86 displays. There are also 111 24-inch monitors, 94 PCs and 25 document cameras.

In addition, a further 18 class sets with 16 iPads each, i.e. a total of 288 iPads, were purchased for the pupils. This means that there are now a total of 697 iPads in the four elementary schools and two middle schools. Two 3D printers were also purchased for the two secondary schools.

In addition to the new devices, comprehensive WiFi at all six schools for which the city of Dachau is responsible ensures that modern digital teaching is not just gray theory, but standard practice. Mayor Florian Hartmann is extremely satisfied with the implementation of the digital offensive by the city’s IT department. “The renewals and modernizations our IT specialists have implemented this year is great.”
