Dachau indoor swimming pool: ÜB/FDP calls for Kassensturz – Dachau

The parliamentary group ÜB/FDP calls for more transparency in the costs for the new construction of the Dachau indoor pool. The three city councilors Ingrid Sedlbauer (ÜB), Peter Gampenrieder (ÜB) and Jürgen Seidl (FDP) want to know what costs have been incurred so far for external service providers, for example for preserving evidence, enforcing claims and technical and economic advice. In addition, they ask that the claims be quantified that the companies involved have so far asserted both against the public utilities and the public utilities against them. The parliamentary group has submitted a corresponding application to Mayor Florian Hartmann (SPD).

The phase between the termination of the previous architect and the training of a possible successor is seen as a suitable point in time “to ensure not only a planning-technical cash drop, but also an economic position determination,” says a press release from ÜB/ FDP. Group spokesman Peter Gampenrieder says: “For us, it’s about looking ahead. There needs to be transparency about where we currently stand, technically and economically.”

The costs for the new construction of the Dachau indoor pool have continued to rise in recent years. One reason is the construction delay. Actually, the first swimmers should already be able to swim their laps in 2019, around three years later the swimming pool is still a shell.
