Dachau: Freshly renovated maternity ward – Dachau

In the course of the refurbishment of the ward block at the Helios Amper Clinic in Dachau, the refurbishment work for gynecology and obstetrics has now been completed. The patients can expect a freshly renovated ward and three modern delivery rooms that have been updated to the latest medical technology.

The conversion of the Amper-Klinikum has completed another intermediate stage: the women’s clinic has moved back to the renovated second floor. The renovation of the six-storey bed building has been underway since February 2018, five floors are already finished. For the patients, this means a standard double room throughout, and each room has its own bathroom with a shower.

The women giving birth now have three bright and friendly delivery rooms available, each with modern delivery beds and monitor monitoring. If you like, you can also give birth to your baby in a birthing pool. In addition to the delivery rooms, there are two separate labor rooms, three examination rooms and a nursing room.

“The women’s clinic has its own operating room for caesarean sections as well as central CTG monitoring,” explains the provisional head of gynecology and obstetrics, Sabine Keim, in a press release. With continuous cardiotocography (CTG), the fetal heartbeat is monitored to check the well-being of the unborn child during labour. The information evening for expectant parents will continue to be held digitally. They also get a first impression of the new rooms of the women’s clinic. The information evening takes place every first Thursday of the month, the next date is February 3rd at 6 p.m. Interested parties can find the link to the Skype event on the Dachau Clinic’s homepage www.helios-gesundheit.de/dachau/geburtshilfe.
