The plans actually look like this: At the former Schlossberg brewery at Schlossstrasse 8a, a beer garden is to be built again after almost 13 years. However, the city council faction of the Alliance for Dachau is now calling for an alternative location to be checked. The possible citizen beer garden should be created at the Dachau water tower, according to an application. The faction sees the location as critical, especially because special conditions apply on the site of the former Zieglerkeller beer garden that could endanger operations. When the former brewery site was renovated and transferred to the city, among other things, a curfew at 10 p.m., a ban on food sales and a general ban on music and concerts were imposed. The alliance for Dachau announced that these requirements would no longer apply at the water tower, and that this area would also be further away from the residential development and would also enhance the cultural location. The currently existing path past the water tower could be relocated to the “Zieglerkeller” site, which would allow additional areas to be developed.
