The folk festival competitions at ASV Dachau will take place for the 50th time on Assumption Day next Monday, August 15th. After the competitions without a folk festival in 2021 and with a replacement summer on the Thomawiese last year, the regular program is offered again for the anniversary. But apparently the folk festival is not having a favorable effect on the number of participants: so far around 120 athletes in the adult and U18 sectors have registered, around 30 fewer than last year. However, late registrations are still possible on Monday up to one hour before the respective competition. It starts at 12 noon in the ASV Dachau Sepp-Helfer Stadium with the women’s 100-meter run, the women’s U18 long jump and the men’s discus throw.
