This Sunday, a cyclist outing turned tragic.
In a wood of Briennon in the Loire, three mountain bikers were attacked by hornets.
The insects stalked their target. So much so that two people aged 51 and 72, stung more than fifty times, were taken care of by emergency services in a state of absolute emergency. They were hospitalized between life and death.
The third cyclist accompanying them was also bitten but “only” fifteen times. His less worrying condition still required hospitalization.
A dozen firefighters and three ambulances were needed to take care of them on this hornet attack of an unusual scale and with potentially dramatic consequences.
