HOURS AGO

.5 km – Be careful, you can see it in the peloton…. And they are serious outsiders up front. mistrust !

km – It’s up to the DSM to assume the pursuit behind this trio, it’s the only formation over-represented in the peloton not to have a girl up front.

.5 km – 15” ahead for the trio on the peloton, which explodes on the impulse of the DSM. But it’s not really organized.

km – It was Jade Wiel (FDJ-Suez) and Coralie Demay (St-Michel-Mavic-Auber 93) who felt the right move and followed the attempt of the Cofidis runner.

km – Victoire Berteau (Cofidis) made a small gap in the descent and is going out with an FDJ-Suez and a St-Michel-Mavic-Auber 93…

km – Be careful, the peloton breaks on the descent!

km – We refuel in the peloton and that allows Asencio (Ceratizit-WNT) to regain his place in the peloton. For a few moments anyway.

.3 km – Big job by Morgane Coston (Cofidis), who is probably trying to prevent any attack for the moment. But it’s not really up to Cofidis to work… They are only two while there are 5 FDJ-Suez.

.7 km – It’s the turn of Camille Fahy (St-Michel-Mavic-Auber 93) and Laura Asencio (Ceratizit-WNT) to let go in the peloton…

km – For the moment, nothing is happening in this ascent. Finally a moment of respite for the riders, who had driven flat out over the previous three laps.

.3 km – All the expected favorites of this French championship are at the forefront.

.7 km – Margot Pompanon (St-Michel-Mavic-Auber93) lets go! She is left behind in the climb, having tried her luck just before. But the tempo of Coston (Cofidis) hurts).

km – And here we go again for the cobbled ascent of the course… Morgane Coston does the work at the head of the peloton to set the tempo.

km – We find in the main group Coralie Demay, Sandrine Bideau Dilyxine Miermoont, Camille Fahy and Margot Pompanon (St-Michel-Mavic-Auber93), Marie Le Net, Evita Muzic, Victorie Guilman, Jade Wiel and Gladys Verhulst (FDJ-Suez), Marie-Morgane Le Deunff Morichon (Arkéa Pro Cycling), Laura Asencio and Cédrine Kerbaol (Ceratizit-WNT), Victoire Berteau and Morgane Coston (Cofidis).

km – Everything has to be done again ! The Muzic group has returned to the lead and we therefore have 17 girls at the head of this French championship.

km – Be careful, you can see it in the leading group… No one wants to ride anymore. And it could come back for the Muzic group, where the St-Michel-Mavic-Auber93 do the work for Evita Muzic and Juliette Labous.

km – In the counter group, we therefore find Coralie Demay with her teammate Dilyxine Miermont (St-Michel-Mavic-Auber93), Evita Muzic and Victorie Guilman (FDJ-Suez) as well as Juliette Labous (DSM).

km – MORE THAN 40 KILOMETERS BEFORE THE ARRIVAL !

.5 km – Mechanical problem for Coralie Demay (St-Michel-Mavic-Auber93)! It’s hard to be left behind on this kind of incident….

km – 25” lead for the leading group over the Muzic group.

.3 km – MUZIC ATTACK BEHIND !! We understood that it was time to make the effort and the leader of the FDJ-Suez made the effort, followed by Labous (DSM) in particular… Not Kerbaol (Ceratizit-WNT), which is planted.

.5 km – Barely back, Audrey Cordon-Ragot immediately takes the lead of the group to set a huge tempo… Very big number of the one who is champion of France for a few more minutes, at least.

.8 km – Junction !! Cordon-Ragot (Human Powered Health) and Berteau (Cofidis) link up with the leading group on the climb to Porte d’Aire. What a number from the defending champion!

km – They are only 11 in the group of favorites… We will have to move to hope to get back on the lead.

km – 37” lead for the leading group over Cordon-Ragot and Berteau and 55” over the peloton, which exploded.

km – Victoire Berteau (Cofidis) felt the blow and the two girls went against….

km – Another attack by Cordon-Ragot! Impressive trajectory on the part of the runner from Human Powered Health, who makes big differences and goes out with a girl from Cofidis.

The emotion of Cordon-Ragot: “I will try to give them back what they gave me”

km – We don’t organize ourselves in the peloton… Everyone has their own attack.

km – But it looks new… And the gap goes back to 1’05” in favor of the leading girls.

.5km – The peloton is reforming… We came back to the Muzic-Cordon-Ragot group, at the instigation of St-Michel-Mavic-Auber93.

.8 km – Juliette Labous (DSM) is well back in the peloton! Big effort from the 4th of the Tour 2022…

km – Victoire Berteau (Cofidis) comes out alone from the peloton behind and returns to the counter trio. She seems very strong on the cobblestones, the Cofidi runner…

.5km – 48” lead for the leading group over the Cordon-Ragot group and 1’01” over the peloton.

km – It’s going to fit for the peloton…

km – MORE THAN 50 KILOMETERS BEFORE THE ARRIVAL!

km – Mechanical problem for Juliette Labous! Hard blow for the DSM runner, distanced from the peloton now and who will have a hard time coming back and playing for the title of French champion now…

km – It’s moving at the head of the peloton! A trio has just come out of the peloton… We find Audrey Cordon-Ragot (Human Powered Health), Amandine Fouquenet (Arkéa Pro Cycling) and Evita Muzic (FDj-Suez), who followed to protect the breakaway.

km – 1’39” lead for the leading girls! This is the biggest gap of the race.

km – Since her return to the front of the race, Jade Wiel has done a lot of work in the leading group… We almost have the impression that she is sacrificing herself for her two teammates.

km – UPDATE ON THE RACE :

We find at the front Coralie Demay and Margot Pompanon (St-Michel-Mavic-Auber93), Marie Le Net, Jade Wiel and Gladys Verhulst (FDJ-Suez), Léa Curinier and Eglantine Rayer (DSM), Anais Morichon (Arkéa Pro Cycling), Laura Asencio (Ceratizit-WNT) and Morgane Coston (Cofidis).

In the peloton, we have Olivia Onestia, Diyxine Miermont, Camille Fahy, Sandrine Bideau and Célia Le Mouel (St-Michel-Mavic-Auber93), Constance Valentin (Lyon Sprint Evolution), Evita Muzic, Victorie Guilman (FDJ-Suez), Juliette Labous (Team DSM), Audrey Cordon Ragot (Human Powered Health), Cédrine Kerbaol (Ceratizit-WNT Pro Cycling), Maeva Squiban (Stade Rochelais Charente-Maritime), Marie Giele, (Team Groupe Abadie-Le Boulou), Ségolène Thomas , Victoire Joncheray (Team Grand-Est Komugi La Fabrique), Cecile Lejeune (Massi-Tactic Women Team), Amandine Fouquenet, Marie-Morgane Le Deunff (Arkéa Pro Cycling), Victoire Berteau and Flavie Boulais (Cofidis Women Team).

km – Juliette Labous (DSM) is very careful at the front of the peloton. The 4th in the last women’s Tour de France with Zwift does teamwork by jumping on anything that moves.

km – The gap stabilizes: 1’08” lead for the leading girls.

km – MORE THAN 60 KILOMETERS BEFORE THE ARRIVAL!!

km – Kerbaol (Ceratizit-WNT) hardens the pace in the climb of the Porte d’Aire (1km at 8%) and shows that she is one of the strongest. But she is trapped for the time being.

Kerbaol: “I changed everything, this title is the icing on the cake”

km – 1’10” ahead now for the leading girls. The blow is more and more dangerous.

km – Be careful, you can see it in the peloton… No one really wants to make the effort and the effort swells.

km – 12” lead for the leading group on Wiel and 31” on the “peloton”.

km – But it does not come back to Jade Wiel, now sandwiched between the leading group and the peloton. So she insists…

km – Things are moving in the peloton!! Jade Wiel (FDJ-Suez) tries her luck in the descent from Cassel and, with two teammates up front, it’s starting to do a lot for the favourites. Audrey Cordon-Ragot (Human Powered Health) is the first to react….

km – The peloton is getting closer to the leading group on the climb to Cassel… This course is a real building site!

km – The work of Stade Rochelais hurts in the peloton… And Marion Borras (St-Michel-Mavic-Auber93) drops out again in the peloton.

km – Not everyone rides at the head of the race. Some girls are hesitant about what to do… And the gap is falling: 18” ahead now.

km – The peloton still completely exploded from the first lap, they are only about thirty in the “peloton”.

km – The organization is not perfect in the peloton but we manage to maintain the gap. 28” lead for the leading group.

km THE COMPOSITION OF THE HEAD GROUP :

We find at the front Coralie Demay and Margot Pompanon (St-Michel-Mavic-Auber93), Marie Le Net and Gladys Verhulst (FDJ-Suez), Léa Curinier and Eglantine Rayer (DSM), Anais Morichon (Arkéa Pro Cycling), Laura Asencio (Ceratizit-WNT) and Morgane Coston (Cofidis).

km RACE UPDATE :

After a frenzied start to the race, a group of nine riders has just broken out of the peloton and is widening the gap on the peloton. No big favorite up front but teammates of Labous (DSM) in particular. Behind, it is the runners from Stade Rochelais who take on the pursuit, being outnumbered in the peloton.
