The path British Emily Kathleen has chosen is not for everyone.
The former customer advisor becomes a full-time cam girl and now earns more than 100,000 euros a year. But how did it even come about?
Back then, Kathleen worked as a customer service representative for a housing association and lived in a four-bedroom house. Since she is suffering from stress during the corona pandemic, she takes sick leave. Her employer then dismisses her without further ado.
Due to lack of money, the Brit registered with a cam girl agency in August 2020 and earned over 400 euros on her first night.
As a camgirl, she logs onto her laptop daily to stream a live show for her clients from her bedroom.
Kathleen says webcamming has completely changed her life: “I started webcamming full-time simply because I was happier. I enjoy it, I hated my day job and I’m definitely making more money from webcamming.
It may sound like a cliché, but it has changed my life in every way imaginable, most notably my confidence. I’m much more confident, financially independent, I’ve paid off debt, I can go on vacation and I’ll be buying a new car soon. I’ve been living paycheck to paycheck and a year later I’m sitting here running my own agency and helping other women achieve what I’ve achieved. That is just insane for me.”
She fell in love with the work and then founded her own agency “High Society Models” in spring 2021.
The founder now earns over 9,000 euros per month – significantly more than in her job as a customer advisor.
Kathleen wants to try to break the stigma of the industry and offers tips to other women who also want to enter this industry:
“If anyone wants to get into the webcamming industry, I recommend hiring an agent. There are many different reasons why one should work with an agent. There are many agencies out there. Of course I would say go to my agency. You should think twice and think about whether this is a girlfriend experience or what you want your niche to be. Just enjoy it. You can be whoever you want to be and build your confidence with this experience.”
