Curious sending off: Arsenal star Gabriel Martinelli sees two yellow cards in one fell swoop

Gabriel Marinelli was sent off in a very special way in Arsenal’s win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Arsenal’s Gabriel Martinelli took center stage in Arsenal’s 1-0 win at Wolverhampton Wanderers. In the second half, referee Michael Oliver showed the winger two yellow cards and had to leave the field. “I’ve never seen anything like it,” Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said after the game BBC.
The curious scene took place after the Brazilian made a technical error. Martinelli had to let the ball go wide. He then prevented Wolves attacker Daniel Podence from taking the throw-in – the referee Oliver let it run at first.

Martinelli then followed up on Chiquinho on the wing and fouled him. Oliver Martinelli then warned and a few seconds later showed a second yellow card for the previous unsportsmanlike throw-in. The red card followed immediately.
Gabriel scored the only goal of the game in the 25th minute after assists from Alexandre Lacazette. Thanks to the success, Arsenal FC temporarily moved up to fifth place in the Premier League table.
