“Le Tram des Balkans” – the tram of the Balkan countries – rolls rhythmically from Lyon and stops in Oberhaching on Saturday, March 19th. The five-strong ensemble takes the audience in the Bürgersaal at the Forstner on a rapid musical journey with klezmer, jazz, folk and pop. In their fifth programme, the virtuoso French, who are no strangers to Oberhaching, also span a wide musical arc between the Mediterranean and Central Asia. They often present a breathtaking tempo that would also fit as a band name “TGV des Balkans”. Bass and drums form the rhythm foundation. Clarinet, accordion, violin, banjo and mandolin are added – the Balkan Express is already grooving. The concert starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are over www.oberhaching.dein the library and town hall.
