The show is a piece of German television history – with many unforgettable moments. Who was on stage the most? And which items were used most often in bets?

With “Bet that…?” celebrated Thomas Gottschalk’s greatest successes. The ZDF program was his calling card between 1987 and 2011. 15 million viewers were not uncommon.

According to the station, the cult presenter hosted the Saturday evening show more than 150 times. For comparison: “Wetten, dass…?” inventor Frank Elstner has 39 moderations. Wolfgang Lippert made 9 appearances and Markus Lanz led the show 14 times.

According to ZDF, one of the most frequent show acts on stage is musician Peter Maffay, who made 17 appearances. Udo Jürgens and Herbert Grönemeyer each made 15 visits – followed by British pop star Robbie Williams in third place, who took a seat on the famous sofa 10 times and is already considered a cult show legend.

The candidates have completed more than 1,000 bets so far. The main items used were glasses (10,077), candles (8,432) and eggs (898). According to ZDF, cars played the main role in 69 bets. In 40 bets it was excavators or similar vehicles. Actress Iris Berben had the most frequent appearances as a betting sponsor. She gave a betting tip 10 times.
