This text is easy to write. Bitcoin has briefly dipped below $16,000 for the first time since 2020. Now it is particularly pleasing to comment that the hype surrounding the cryptocurrency has always been exaggerated. When everyone flees, it’s easy to run with the herd. You always know better afterwards. But all objections to the crypto hype also apply if Bitcoin’s favor turns again and the price at some point rises from record to record again.
