Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has signed an exclusive multi-year partnership with crypto exchange Binance. This partnership aims to introduce soccer fans to the Web3 ecosystem through a global NFT campaign.
Binance noted that The deal involves the creation of an NFT collection with Ronaldo, which will only be sold on the Binance NFT platform, with the first collection due later this year.
Binance CEO and Founder Changpeng Zhao praised Ronaldo’s achievements in football. and said athletes “Go beyond sports and become an icon in many industries”
“He has one of the largest fan bases in the world. through his credibility, talent and charity.”
Zhao added that the Binance team is excited to offer Ronaldo fans “a unique opportunity to contribute to their connection with Ronaldo” as they own the NFT collection. The soccer superstar also commented on the upcoming NFT release, saying that fans will definitely enjoy them. Ronaldo also explained that
“My relationship with my fans is very important to me. So the idea of bringing this unprecedented experience and accessibility through the NFT platform is something I want to be involved in.”
