In early July, a suspicious substance was discovered at government headquarters in Washington. Investigators should find out who brought the cocaine there. Now the work is complete.
The Secret Service responsible for the security of US President Joe Biden has closed the investigation Cocaine find in the White House closed with no results for the time being. The Secret Service said investigators were unable to find out who brought the cocaine to government headquarters in Washington.
The results of the examination of the fingerprints and the DNA were not sufficient. “Without physical evidence, investigators will not be able to single out a person of interest from the hundreds of people who passed through the anteroom where the cocaine was discovered.”
What happened?
The suspicious substance was discovered on July 2 in an entrance area in the west wing of government headquarters in Washington. Biden was not in the White House at the time. US media had reported that the area was also accessible to visitor groups. They would be asked to put down their mobile phones.
The Secret Service now explained: “The substance was contained in a container used for temporary storage of electronic and personal devices before entering the west wing.” No surveillance video footage was found that would allow investigators to determine who might have dumped the substance in the area.
The find had caused a great stir. Republicans used it to attack Democrat Biden and his family. The attacks were particularly focused on Biden’s son Hunter Biden. He was a drug addict in the past and has repeatedly been the target of Republican attacks. Cocaine is considered a party drug and briefly increases the ability to concentrate and performance, makes hunger, fatigue and fears disappear. Psychological consequences include extreme restlessness, anxiety and delusions.
