The police are investigating possible capital offenses after shots were fired in the Rotenburg district. A police spokeswoman said no information could yet be given about possible victims or the background. There are two crime scenes – one in a single-family home in Westervesede in the municipality of Scheeßel, and one in Bothel in the Rotenburg district.

The Police assume it was a capital crime – according to the spokeswoman, it is unclear whether there is a connection between the two crime scenes. The alleged perpetrator turned himself in and was arrested, said the spokeswoman. A large contingent of police officers is on duty. Further details were not yet available.
