Excitement in Joliet, Illinois: First the police find a man with gunshot wounds who later dies. Now seven bodies appear. But where is the perpetrator?

The police in the US state Illinois is searching for a suspect who could be responsible for the deaths of up to eight people. Seven bodies alone were found in the afternoon (local time) at two different crime scenes in Joliet near Chicago and all had gunshot wounds, the police said. The investigators assume that the crimes are related and that the suspected shooter knew his victims.

On Sunday, a man was found with gunshot wounds at another location in the same district, who later died from his injuries. The investigators suspect that this crime was also committed by the same suspect – although much is still unclear. The police in Joliet initially withheld details and referred to the ongoing investigation.
