In a dozen episodes, Lucas Gregorowicz was on the road as Chief Inspector Adam Raczek. Now the actor has commented on his exit.

Actor Lucas Gregorowicz commented on his departure from the ARD Sunday thriller “Polizeiruf 110”. “After seven years and twelve adventures, it’s time to go,” said the 45-year-old, according to a statement from Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (rbb). With the episode “Abgrund”, which will be broadcast at the end of the year, he says goodbye to the successful crime series.

“I’m very grateful for this time,” said the actor. «For the people I was allowed to work with, the friendships and the chance to live out my own Polish side in this first-class format, Maria Simon, the broadcaster rbb and the always great teams and fantastic colleagues on both sides of the Border.” He wishes everyone involved “that the ‘Polizeiruf 110’ will remain relevant and entertaining in the future.”

Departure at your own request

On Monday evening it became known that Gregorowicz was leaving the Brandenburg “Polizeiruf” at his own request this year, the “Tagesspiegel” had first reported. He has been playing the character of Adam Raczek there since 2015. At first he was Olga Lenski’s partner in the series – until her actress Maria Simon left the series in 2020. Since 2021, his character Adam Raczek has formed a duo with investigator Vincent Ross, played by André Kaczmarczyk. You are investigating for the German-Polish murder commission in the border town of Świecko.

In the meantime, the shooting of the first “police call” without Gregorowicz has even been completed. The broadcast is planned for the first quarter of 2023 in the first. The head of culture and film at rbb, Martina Zöllner, said: “We respect Lucas Gregorowicz’s decision and thank him for twelve very special episodes, which he decisively shaped as chief inspector Adam Raczek.”

It was also announced on Monday that the actress Verena Altenberger got off the Munich police call 110.
