Where it says Murot on it, there is also Murot in it. Apparently his latest “crime scene” from Hesse was too crazy for some viewers.

Hardly any active “crime scene” investigator polarizes as much as Hesse Commissioner Felix Murot (Ulrich Tukur, 66), who usually has to deal with the strangest cases. His appearance in “Murot and the Paradise” was apparently too crazy for many crime fans – less than six million viewers (5.95 million) tuned in on Primetime on Sunday evening, as can be seen from the Figures from AGF Videoforschung in collaboration with GfK.

What sounds like dream ratings for most TV productions is quite disappointing for a “Tatort” edition. That’s how it is According to the “Quotenmeter” it has the lowest audience ratingwhich has a “crime scene” with Murot as the main character – there are now twelve of them – so far.

And that despite the fact that “Murot and Paradise” was directed by a real Oscar winner. The director and screenwriter Felix Gallenberger from Munich received the Golden Boy award at the Academy Awards in 2001 for his short film “Stolen Dreams”. Last Sunday’s crime thriller marked its “Tatort” premiere.

Herzkino, Bond and NFL represented

Nevertheless, “Murot and the Paradise” took the day’s primetime victory, with a market share of 21.4 percent among the total audience. The new “Herzkino” edition “Malibu – Kiss the Frog” on ZDF landed well behind with around four million viewers (14.3 percent).

“Tatort” was also clearly ahead in the group of 14 to 49 year olds with 1.05 million viewers (16.7 percent). Sat.1 held its own with top agent James Bond (Daniel Craig, 55) – 0.45 million people (8.3 percent) watched “Spectre”. RTL also achieved similar results, scoring points throughout the evening with the Buffalo Bills’ NFL game against the New England Patriots.
