According to investigators, the killed 14-year-old from northern Hesse was strangled. Meanwhile, the suspect remains silent.
In the case of the 14-year-old killed in… Investigators in North Hesse are currently assuming that the student was strangled. The Kassel public prosecutor’s office announced this on Wednesday at the request of the German Press Agency.
“The autopsy of the body of the 14-year-old victim revealed evidence that could be explained by force on the neck area,” said a spokesman. “Based on the preliminary autopsy results, the public prosecutor’s office currently assumes that the injured party was strangled.”
The investigative authorities had commissioned further histological and toxicological examinations, he explained. Due to the ongoing investigations, no further explanations can be made at the moment.
The student’s body was discovered on Thursday last week on the side of a dirt road in Bad Emstal (Kassel district) in northern Hesse after the teenager had been missing since the evening before. A 20-year-old acquaintance of the girl is said to be responsible for the 14-year-old’s death. An arrest warrant was issued against the German national on Friday last week on strong suspicion of murder. The question of the alleged murderer’s motive remains unclear. The suspect has remained silent so far.
