According to the findings, the arrested priest, one of a total of six priests in Don Benito, had a large and constantly growing customer base, reported the newspaper “El Mundo” and other Spanish media, citing investigative sources. There are customers who have already admitted that they bought Viagra and other sexual enhancers from the two men.

The arrest of the Catholic priest caused a stir in the community, which has a population of almost 38,000, because Priest Alfonso was very popular and respected among community members. The diocese of Plasencia, to which Don Benito belongs, regretted in a statement the “scandal” that caused “pain and suffering.” They said they wanted to work with the authorities to solve the case.
