After the knife attack with three deaths in Hohentengen on the Upper Rhine, new details have become known. It was already a day before the violent act near the border with Switzerland The police and public prosecutor’s office announced together in Waldshut-Tiengen that the police were visiting the family to settle a dispute.
The 19-year-old suspect is reportedly in custody. When the arrest warrant was opened, the young man with German and Italian citizenship testified. No details were provided.
“The accused has not yet been convicted,” the statement said. There are no indications that drugs were involved.
The suspect is accused of attacking and killing his parents and his 34-year-old brother with a knife on Tuesday evening in the community in the Waldshut district in the far south of the country. The suspect’s sister suffered serious injuries in the attack but survived.
