The four-year-old was in the discount store with her mother on Wednesday afternoon, according to the police. After the attack, she was taken to a clinic and operated on. The girl is in stable condition.
According to the police, a witness in the supermarket noticed what was happening, took the knife from the attacker and called the officers. “The witness called the police and told us where the man was. That’s how my colleagues were able to arrest him,” a police spokeswoman said. The alleged perpetrator allowed himself to be arrested without resistance.
