Returning from vacation and finding your home in ruins is probably a nightmare-like idea for most people. In Berlin a woman experienced this horror.

A man is said to have broken into his former girlfriend’s apartment Flooded Berlin with water during their vacation and made it uninhabitable for three months. He is also said to have destroyed the facility. He is now being charged in the district court with burglary, theft and damage to property. This was announced by the Berlin public prosecutor’s office.

According to the prosecution, before the 55-year-old man turned on the taps in the apartment in Berlin-Lichtenberg on August 1, 2023, he is said to have torn down cupboards and cut up beds, clothing and cables from the refrigerator and washing machine. He then allegedly placed a rubber dildo with a suction cup on the television. He took money and valuables with him. A total of nine apartments in the building were damaged by flooding with water. The apartment below was also uninhabitable for months.
